We're open 7 days per week, Monday-Friday, from 9:30am to 4:30pm. (closed 12:00pm-1:00pm for lunch) and Saturday and Sunday 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Admission is free, donations are always welcome!

From Houston, take US 59 towards Victoria, exit Wharton, Turn left onto Business 59 (N.Richmond Rd.) and the museum is on the right approx. 200 yards from the Tee-Pee motels.

Downtown Wharton offers unique and delicious dining, small-town shopping on the square, a magnificent courthouse restoration project (in progress!), live theater, and a wonderful taste of how the world "used to live"!
